Essential cookies

Essential cookies support account sign-in, security, language preferences, and your cookie choice. They are required for the service to work and cannot be switched off through the analytics preference control.

Analytics and consent signals

On configured production hostnames, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and other configured measurement scripts may load before you make a choice. Until you select Accept, Google receives a denied consent signal and must not use analytics or advertising storage for full cookie-based measurement. Google may still receive limited cookieless signals for aggregated measurement and modeling.

Microsoft Clarity and other non-Google measurement tools are not controlled by this Google consent choice and may operate independently under their own privacy terms. Rejecting Google analytics storage does not limit Browser Basic, your account, paid credits, or subscriptions.

Analytics events may include the page viewed, selected plan, checkout start, payment success, plan type, price version, file-size bucket, and conversion status. We do not send file names, file contents, Markdown output, conversion results, email addresses, full payment payloads, or payment-card details to analytics.

Managing your choice

The first-visit Cookie Settings card lets you accept or reject Google analytics and advertising storage. Closing the card has the same effect as selecting Reject. Your choice is stored for up to 12 months in the essential user_consent_v2 cookie.

After a choice is saved, the site does not display a persistent preference control. To make a new choice, clear cookies or site data for markitdownai.org and revisit the site. This Google consent control does not disable Microsoft Clarity or other independently configured measurement tools; browser privacy controls may provide additional blocking options.

Third-party services

Google, Microsoft Clarity, or another configured analytics provider may receive limited usage information under its own privacy terms as described above. Payment processing is provided separately by Stripe and is not controlled by the analytics preference.
