Terms of Service

MarkItDown AI provides a browser-based workflow for converting supported local files and pasted text into Markdown.

Browser Basic quality depends on the source format, document structure, and browser capabilities. The service is not intended for pixel-perfect layout conversion.

The service does not provide persistent file hosting, public file sharing, remote-download storage, or tools intended to bypass copyright, access, or security controls.

Browser Basic is available without sign-in, processes one supported file locally, and accepts files up to 10MB and PDFs up to 30 pages under the account limit.

Flex Pack costs $14.90 USD once and grants 300 Enhanced pages valid for 180 days. It is not a subscription, does not renew, and does not grant full Pro Basic limits.

Pro Monthly costs $29.90 USD per month and includes 1000 Enhanced pages per successfully paid billing period. The monthly allowance resets and does not roll over.

An eligible Pro Trial includes 50 Enhanced pages for 30 days, requires no payment card, does not renew, and does not become a paid subscription automatically.

Annual, lifetime, team, bulk, and paid API plans are not included or sold. Advanced does not guarantee perfect extraction.

Stripe Checkout is available only when the relevant plan rollout is enabled. The selected product, final USD amount, and whether payment is one-time or recurring are shown before payment.

Pro Monthly renews monthly until canceled. Subscribers may stop renewal through Stripe Customer Portal from /settings/billing or by contacting support. Access normally remains through the end of the paid billing period unless payment fails, the account enters and exhausts its disclosed grace period, or access is suspended for a dispute, fraud, or abuse.

Canceling Pro Monthly does not remove a separately purchased Flex Pack that still has a valid unused balance.

Canceling renewal does not create a prorated refund. Duplicate charges or a verified material service failure reported within seven days of payment may be eligible for a refund under the Refund Policy.

A paid order may also receive a full refund when requested within seven days and its paid allowance remains completely unused. For billing help, contact support@markitdownai.org. We aim to provide an initial response within two business days. Nothing in these terms limits non-waivable consumer rights under applicable law.

Only process files that you own or have permission to use. Do not use the service to infringe intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, or other legal rights.

If Advanced becomes available, do not explicitly submit illegal, malicious, highly sensitive, or confidential files.

Do not attempt to bypass file type, file size, timeout, rate-limit, usage, payment, or security controls.

The service is provided as a conversion aid for AI-ready Markdown workflows. Results may be incomplete or inaccurate for complex layouts, scanned documents, images, charts, formulas, or malformed files.
